76083 Beware the Vulture $39.99
Based on the new Spiderman Homecoming movie this set features Spiderman and Iron Man teaming up to take out the villainous Vulture and his partner/henchmen Shocker.

The Minifigures:
Spiderman- new print for this figure, but other then some slight variation the figure remains largely unchanged. There is some print on the side of the arms, a relatively new feature in minifigs that people seem to enjoy. Spiderman comes with several accessories: A cellphone, a big web piece, the classic web rope, and the new web shooters. (Pictured below)

Iron Man- Iron Man also has a new print, not sure which iteration of the suit this is but the interesting thing about this minifigure is if you lift the face mask there is no Tony Stark head included just a blank trans blue head. They also did this with the Iron Legion from the Avengers Tower Attack set. This implies that Tony won’t actually be there during the final fight with Vulture in the movie.

Shocker- This minifigure is brand new, it uses a black and gray color scheme with yellow arms, the printing on the arm is reminiscent of the classic Shocker costume from the Spiderman animated series from the 90’s. The accessories are two of the big metal glove pieces first introduced in the Agents series. Not sure how movie accurate this is, but hey its Lego!

Vulture- Another brand new figure, this figure is an older gentleman in a green bomber jacket with a tech helmet. The helmet looks almost like an Iron Man helmet and given the Vulture’s hatred towards Iron Man in this movie I can see why they went that route. He comes with a huge mech wing suit that I will get into next.

The Build:
Vulture has a rather large brick build mech wing suit attachment, it features thrusters from the back and foldable wing ends. The issue I have is that this piece is mostly rigid, aside from readjusting the position of the thrusters and the wing ends, nothing else on this mech moves. I would have liked to have a little move wing-like movement from the piece. Also, there is no way to keep the suit upright, this seems like a major oversight by Lego. You try to stand the piece up and it falls right over for my pictures I had to lean it against a back wall.

The van that comes with the set is a white van covered in stickers that show damage and a “How’s my driving” sticker on the back that has been painted over with the words “Shocking”. Classic Lego humor. The front seat can fit a minifigure and Shocker is featured here in the box art. The back of the van opens from the top and inside are a couple boxes and a muti-stud shooting gun.

Overall the set is pretty weak for being the biggest set for the new movie. It could have easily been a $30 set. The van is almost a standard build at this point the best feature is the still flawed Vulture mech.
Score: 3/5
Build time: 30-40 minutes
